Dramatisation of the story of a lost author.
A tragicomic to darkly humorous short story about two sisters who, after the passing of their father, do not know what to do with their freedom. As part of the project Do stratena that the BDNR runs in cooperation with the Faculty of Drama Arts of the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica, we are looking for extraordinary forgotten authors whose work can resonate today more than we suspect … One of them was the exceptionally gifted English author Katherine Mansfield.
Through the play with masks, the production addresses the question of freedom in unfreedom, and the representation of female experience through the perspective of gender-sensitive theatre.
