Good theatre for bad times.
Thousands of human destinies, thousands of broken voices prove how great history touches the most ordinary people. The production records the stories of people who experienced (and survived) the era of Stalinist rule. Later, the collapse of the USSR, ethnic hatred and disillusionment with the present … Can we really talk about the end of the red man? What all from the past remains in us and becomes an driving force of the future?
A multi-genre production about the end of the Soviet empire through the eyes of Nobel Prize for literature laureate Svetlana Alexievich and stage director Marián Pecko.
